I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. I earned my Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I completed my clinical training in a variety of settings including schools, a hospital outpatient clinic, a residential treatment center, and child welfare agencies. I completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at MercyFirst, a residential treatment center, in Long Island, NY. I then completed my post-doctoral fellowship at MercyFirst in their family foster care program where I continue to work as the Clinical Supervisor of the Treatment and Family Foster Care Program.
I believe that psychotherapy is a collaborative and transparent process and I will work with you and/or your family to help you or your child achieve your goals. I tailor treatment to account for the unique and individual needs of each client and use humor and creativity to enhance the therapeutic experience. I have been extensively trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and I am experienced in providing such treatment to children, adolescents, and families. I have experience treating and evaluating individuals with interpersonal relationship challenges, trauma symptoms, mood dysregulation, family conflict, anxiety disorders (separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, specific anxiety, panic disorder, OCD), and depression. In addition, I have specialized training in treating youth diagnosed with PTSD using trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT).
